I'm really sick today. So Enzo said he would jump in and give entrepreneurs 3 tips. He decided to focus on Fortnite and what he's saying in general is that business owners should look at other wildly trending and successful companies for ideas on what they can be doing to improve their business strategy.

Fortnite is an online video game first released in 2017 and developed by Epic Games. It is available as separate software packages having different game modes that otherwise share the same general gameplay and game engine.

Forbes reported that Fortnite brought in $126 million in February, $223 million in March and $296 million in April. The company has so much cash that it's forming a $100 million prize fund for upcoming Fortnite competitions.

Enzo's tips around Fortnite:

  1. Can you make a "free" version of your offering, or a no-obligation, risk-free offering so it makes it easy to get into it. 2. What can you sell on the back end to entice people and make money (this is typical of software-as-a-service companies). In Fortnite's case you can upgrade and get your character to do cooler dances, when they're celebrating a win, or better clothing.

Enzo spent some of his birthday money on a better costume, on V-bucks which is a very big deal because he's never been allowed to buy anything on video games before.

3. How can you create a community around your brand. Fortnite has created a model, where you can't survive the game without help from a "tribe or clan". And if you violate the rules of the clan, I've seen people get kicked out. Enzo looks forward to meeting up with his online friends from across Canada on the weekends and has created a bond with them.
